Hey everyone,
I owe you all an apology. I haven’t ever posted much here, but I was talking with a couple of friends today who pointed out that someone named Wallace had taken over my page and was posting about a weight loss supplement with “magical” results. That wasn’t me, and I’m really sorry about that. I think he tried to take advantage, hoping to reach our gym clients & potential clients.
For those who don’t know, I’ve operated Fit 901 | CrossFit 901 for over 15 years, where we offer coaching programs that go beyond just fitness. We help people transform their lives through a combination of fitness, nutrition, accountability, mindset, and lifestyle coaching. It’s about more than just shedding pounds—it’s about helping people break through the barriers they’ve set for themselves and live their best lives.
They asked me why I’ve kept the gym running, especially since it takes up so much of my time outside of work at the Fire Department. Honestly, I’ve thought about closing it down a few times. I’d love to have more free time for myself, but my exit plan always winds up to be to keep enough equipment so I can just turn right around and open it right back up again. Clearly, I’m not quite ready to go.
Why? Because seeing people transform is the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. I talk to people every day who feel stuck or frustrated, trapped by invisible limits they’ve placed on themselves. There’s no better feeling than helping someone push past those limits—whether that’s lifting more weight than they ever thought possible, losing over 150 pounds, or getting a dream job they never thought they were capable of.
I’ve seen transformations in every sense: a 21-year-old who was too self-conscious to go to the beach because of his weight is now thriving with confidence and enjoying life to the fullest. I’ve watched people get clean, get off their medications, and even get married because they found strength, confidence, and a sense of purpose in our gym.
If I didn’t show up every day, I’d miss out on those moments, and honestly, that brings me joy and gives me purpose.
So, thank you for sticking with me, and for those of you who have supported Fit 901 | CrossFit 901, I can’t express how grateful I am to be part of your journey. That’s why I do it.
